Hen Party Stay at Hampton by Hilton Belfast City Centre

Jump to the good bits

If you’re planning a hen weekend in Belfast and you want somewhere that’s central, comfy, and doesn’t leave you skint before you’ve even ordered your first prosecco, then Hampton by Hilton Belfast City Centre is a great spot. We booked two nights here for our group and it was exactly what we needed. If you’re a maid of honour looking for somewhere for the bride tribe to stay, keep reading.

Location

You know when you’re in a city for a hen do and you just don’t want the faff of taxis every five minutes? This hotel has that sorted. Hampton by Hilton is close to all the action of Belfast city centre which meant we could walk pretty much everywhere. Shops, bars, restaurants and attractions were about a mile’s walk away. And the Belfast Grand Central train station is also just a short walk away. The area felt safe too, which is always a big one when you’re in a group of girls heading back after a night out. For a hen party, being central makes life so much easier and this hotel nailed it.

First Impressions

We checked in with a group of very excitable hens and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. They were friendly and welcoming and didn’t bat an eyelid at the fact that we were clearly there for a good time. The lobby is bright, modern and has that fresh feel without being overly fancy or intimidating. It’s stylish but still relaxed, so you don’t feel out of place rocking up with your weekend bags and a giant sash that says Bride to Be. It set the tone straight away that this was going to be a fun, relaxed base for us to call home for two nights.

Rooms Made for Hen Groups

We all know that hotel rooms are where a lot of the hen weekend magic happens. We were split across floors 5 and 7, which worked out really well because we could nip between rooms and floors and keep the party spirit alive. The rooms were spacious, which was a relief because you know what it’s like when a group of girls are getting ready at the same time. Hair straighteners, make up bags, outfits everywhere and somehow we all managed without climbing over each other. The showers were big and powerful with lots of lovely hot water, which was a lifesaver after a day of activities followed by a late night out. Toiletries were included so if you forgot shower gel or shampoo, it wasn’t a drama.

Very importantly, the beds were super comfy. Even after a night of dancing and cocktails, we all slept like a log. Each room had a TV, a safe for locking away valuables and lots of storage for clothes and other stuff. It felt modern, clean and easy, which is exactly what you want when you’re sharing a room on a hen weekend. Nobody likes cramped, tired looking rooms and Hampton by Hilton Belfast really delivered.

Breakfast Worth Waking Up For

One of the best perks of staying here is the complimentary breakfast. You don’t have to go out in search of food when you’re not quite feeling your best, because everything you could possibly want is waiting downstairs. The buffet covers all the classics so everyone in the group is happy, whether you’re craving something hearty or light, sweet or savoury. It meant no faffing with finding cafes or splitting bills first thing in the morning. Morning maths isn’t the one!

We just headed down, grabbed what we fancied and started the day together without stress. It was ideal for setting us up for the day and also pretty good for soaking up the prosecco from the night before. You’ve got sausages, bacon, eggs, beans and crispy hashbrowns ready to pile on your plate. If you fancy something lighter, there’s toast, muffins, cakes, cereal and fresh fruit. Wash it all down with your choice of juice, cups of tea or decent coffee that perks you up after a late night out. For a hen party in Belfast, it’s an absolute blessing because everyone can grab what they want without a fuss.

Perfect Base for Hen Activities

The hotel worked really well as a base because it was so central to everything we had booked. We could nip back between activities to freshen up or change outfits and it didn’t feel like too much of a trek. Belfast has so many fun things for hen parties to do, from cocktail making to dance classes, and being in the heart of the city meant we weren’t wasting time travelling. We packed in loads over the weekend but never felt rushed because we could get everywhere on foot. If you’re planning activities, this hotel’s location makes everything run so much smoother.

Staff and Service

It’s always nice when the staff add to the experience and that’s definitely what happened here. Everyone we spoke to was helpful and cheerful, from reception to housekeeping. When you’re on a hen party, you want to feel relaxed and not like you’re a burden for being a lively group. The team at Hampton by Hilton were genuinely lovely and made us feel welcome throughout. It just added to the positive vibe and made the whole stay easy and stress free.

Things to Know Before You Go

For hen party organisers, here are some practical bits that’ll help. Check in was quick and easy, and the lifts were efficient, which is a big deal when you’ve got a group split across floors. The hotel has a bar if you fancy a cheeky drink before heading out or when you get back to the hotel. It’s until 12am. There’s also a business centre and a gym if you’re feeling energetic. Wi-Fi is included and worked well, which meant plenty of time for posting updates and tagging the bride on social media.

Why It’s a Great Place for Hens to Stay

The location is great. You’re in the heart of the city with everything you need within a mile away, so no faffing with long journeys or expensive taxis. The rooms are big, comfy and designed with groups in mind. You’ve got space to get ready together, comfy beds to sleep in and decent showers to revive you in the morning. The breakfast is a great bonus and free which saves time, money and hassle. Add in friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a stress-free hen base.

It’s stylish, relaxed, modern and welcoming as well as practical without feeling boring. It gave us everything we needed for a hen weekend in Belfast without overcomplicating things or draining the budget too much. In terms of pricing, it’s mid-range which meant a comfy stay in a good location plus a bit of room left in the budget, which made the bride very happy.
